About Girls Growing 2 Women
GG2W works in the greater Grand Rapids area to help provide the building blocks for empowering and educating young women. We form a positive, tightly-knit supportive sisterhood that encourages participants over their high school period to think independently and become leaders in their community through regular meetings and special activities (including guest speakers, summer camps, community engagement and special outings).

I have been a member of GG2W for three years and the youth president for two years! I love being a part of GG2W because it is really a family like environment. It is a place that you can feel safe to go and talk about anything. To make that a plus you don’t have to worry about being judged for what you have to say, instead you will get advice, and sometimes closer to your peers. GG2W helps us get ready for “The Real World” by preparing us for relationships, college, the workforce, and life overall. We also have amazing guest speakers that come and open our eyes to different things.
